Kerala Tourism has taken a ‘precious’ turn with the launch of diamond tourism, courtesy, diamond merchants and leading tour operators. “The package gives foreign tourists the advantage of buying certified diamonds at cheaper prices and also an all-expenses paid holiday for a week in Kerala,” said Tourism Secretary V Venu.

Kerala Tourism Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan Wednesday launched Diamond Tourism, offering tourists one week's free stay in a five-star hotel in Kerala if they bought diamonds worth Euros 3,000, 6,000 and 10,000. Sunny Diamonds launches Diamond Tourism (October '10, 2007)

An initiative pioneered by Sunny Diamonds, Diamond Tourism is expected to boost international tourist inflow into Kerala.
